Where would you go and what would you do if there was ever a zombie outbreak?
I mean, no, this is probably never going to happen, but lets say it did. Personally, I'd probably be the first one eaten, but if not then I think I would survive. Matt Jubb and I have already discussed what we would do if zombies ever attacked, the school would be the best bet.
As a side note, I most def. think Matt should come on here and back me up, along with anyone else who won't disown this topic at first glance D:

I have actually planned things out, in case of a zombie outbreak. Seriously. My mind is that weird.
I have a friend in Hampton, with this really old house, with three levels, a bathroom on two of them, plus the roof, if the need arose, with skylights so that you could easily get out there. So, the plan is, to get there as soon as possible, before the outbreak is in the initial stages, so that there's time to barricade the doors. Also during the initial stages, the bathtubs would be filled with water, for drinking in case of the outbreak expanding so far that power and water are no longer available.
Once the house is properly barricaded from the outside, to keep the zombies out, we start preparing the inside for future barricades, if the house should be breached. One at the stairs, so that we can retreat to the upstairs if they get in on the ground floor, and one at the attic, in case the second floor is breached. Should the attic ever be breached, we'll retreat to the roof through the skylights, and fight to the death.
Of course, these are if we're talking conventional zombies.
If we're talking zombies more like in 28 Days/Weeks later, well, it's a whole 'nother ball game. In which we'd probably all die. *solemn nod*
And so now you all know just the kind of nerd I am. *big smile*

If we started cementing every dead person's coffins shut when we burried them, we wouldn't have this problem. :)

/edit zombies are gonna ruin the world no matter when they come
u either have
a) slow moving zombies which are very easy to kill and the only way they can get you is if you arn't paying attention. Plus would you really want to live in a world with zombies anyways, why not have a challenge?
...leads to option b)...
b) Fast moving zombies. Technically, the "zombies" in 28 days later are just infected people and not "true" zombies, but anywho, I would like to see fast zombies because If I'm going to get it soon anyways, why not go down with a challenge. Yes, fast zombies would kill me faster, but It would be interesting me thinks.
PLUS, slow zombies, when they catch you, would be a painful death and even if you manage to get away, your "teammates" would have to kill you, but if they were fast zombies, then they would most likely pink you to the ground and start ravagely tearing away at your flesh, then you would be dead quicker and your friends wouldn't be as sad if zombies killed you rather then themselves.

Why doesn't everyone just buy Max Brook's "Zombie Survival Guide" that should solve the problem.

In a Communist country, do you think they still play Monopoly? Or do you think they would play a different version where the Banker owns everything and all the other players labour for the benefit of "The Great Republic of (insert name here)"?

In a real-world communist country or the theoretical communist country/society envisioned by Marx? I ask because I think each would have a separate answer... in the case of the first I think that not only would they labour for the benefit of the Great Republic but also sing, dance and be merry in their shared efforts... in the case of the second, the people would be the banker and terms like "mine" would almost be a foreign language.

Yes, but since there are no real-life examples of a communist utopia we can't know for sure. Maybe something about the capitalist and self-serving roots would cause dissent among the population. Also, since Parker Bros. is an American-based company, it wouldn't trade with a communist country at all.

k first thing about a zombie outbreak.
1) i think that if zombies did come then we would be pretty safe cause everyone has seen a zombie movie they would all be like ok wow just shoot them in the head its all good.BUT what if all the zombie movies were wrong and you had to light them on fire or something. that would be a whole new ball game. everyone would be going around with their guns at the start of the outbreak going ok whatever shoot them in the head, but when they shot them they just kept coming panic would ensue and the human race as we knew it woukld be screwed. but ya anyways my zombie plan is to just go up to alaska or something. i would stay off the highways though because they would be packed withcars and if zombies came people on the highway would be pretty much screwed so ya back roads to alaska :P

Pfft, I'm well prepared for a zombie invasion.
I built a bomb shelter.
A.k.a I made a fort in my basement with three chairs and a blanket.

I disagree with the zombie outbreak in the school. I would baracade myself in Wal mart. Everything you could possibly need is in there (food, weapons, passtimes, etc.)

As much as I would enjoy perusing the concept of a zombie outbreak, I would like to pose a new philosophical quandary.
What do you think the world would be like if we did not have the means to write?
(i.e. no pencils, no paper, no chalk(board), no pens, no keyboards, and no text in general)
Here's a few seeds for you:
Oral tradition?
Memory/retention?
Classroom styles?!
Communication?
The internet?

@ Mark P: We would invent tools to write. Humans are thick-headed and persistent like that.
