With this type of a question, there will always be religious differences. For me personally, i do believe that there is an afterlife, the "type"(heaven or hell) depends on your actions on earth. sometimes i think of life of being a sort of test, and your 'results' determine what your afterlife will be like.

it's hard to imagine not existing. It's like your mind HAS to go somewhere.

I personally agree with Sebastien here, how can you just stop? Then again, it does make more physical sense for you to be gone, and not come back.

I don't think it's your mind that goes on but your essence or personality embodies another being.

I agree with sara. I personally believe in an afterlife, but that is probably because of my religion. But just because something is unbelievable does not make it so. We may not have an afterlife. It's one of those things you couldn't prove unless you were dead for a few years, then somehow miraculously came back.

I was wondering, could there be an afterlife, because technically if we die and keep living, then life is just continuous, there would be no "After Life" but with this question, if there is an after life, would there then not be a "Before Life"? i believe (not because of religion) that life is just continuous. the only after life there not be is physical, we do not have a phyiscal body after it has expired, but just a soul

This is a complex question!
In some cases, gender identities are socially constructed, but it really depends on the culture. Perhaps you should focus on a culture in particular, maybe our own.

I think that socially, we have enhanced these identities, but they were derived from genetics and nature. I think there are some things that would exist without social influence, such as personality traits, but society has played a significant role in creating these identities.

i think gender identities are definatly socially constructed. We have these theories that like, even from when a baby is born, something as simple as a girl wears pink and a boy wears blue is gender idenity that us as society have deemed fit.
