Maybe we can only observe some of the things that exist. Perhaps, there are many, many things out there that we cannot see, does that mean they do not exist? Maybe from our frame of reference they do not, but in their own, they do, don't they?

this question is very interesting as you must first determine what is meant by exist. if you determine that you must see something for it to actually exist could that mean that nothing is entirely "existant" in the sense that people and things fade in and out of existance like actors coming on and off stage and therefore cannot actually exist. Or if existance can be knowledge of something existing and things dont just fade out and back into the world then actual existance is possible.

Maybe in that video they were only observing what they wanted to see. Maybe we just have selective vision of what we want to see. Perhaps we must truly believe somehting is there for us to be able to see it. If this is the case, then we may have another world inside of our world of things we cant see but are there.

Just because we have not observed something, or discovered something new, doesn't mean it does not exist. The idea, objectm whatever you may call it may not exist to us yet, but it is still in existant in the universe. The Universe is made up of many things we have not discovered, but it is still there, even if we have not observed it yet, we may observe it eventually in time, but there are an unlimited number of things we still may not have observed yet, therefore making what exists infinite.

You have to take into account hallucinations and spiritual visions. Are they existing? Because according to the person who is subject to these vivid visions, they are very real. But to any who are nearby, they are merely acting insane. What say you?

well we know for sound to exist there has to be someone around to hear it. so can we truly say that if noone was around to observe objects that they wouldn't exist?

i wish i had seen this video while we were in physics class! it helps so much! anyways, i think that humans are only able to see the things that our eyes are meant to see. i believe that there are tons of things that are around us right now that we cannot see simply becasue our eyes are unable to detect it, but does this mean they do not exist? no. i think that things exist which we cannot see, but can they see us? who knows....

yes, in a way i do believe that everything is connected. A lot of things in life occur in a series of events for example.

I agree with Heather that life is just a series of events that are connected. I believe that everything is interconnected because everything in your life is interconnected, then when you know someone else, it all of the sudden connects to their life, then when they know someone else that you might not know, you are then connected to them.

What happens if the connection is severed? I guess its not important. I would have to question would it change the way we live. If everything was connected wouldn't that mean if we found out one secrete we could find out any secret? Like how we feel we are connected to people we have never known.

Not necessarily that you would learn every secret if you found out one, the universe is like a puzzle, you may have all the pieces that will connect to make the big picture, but you may not know how or never know how to connect all of the pieces, but we know they all connect to each other to make the big picture. Since, you have to have all of the pieces to complete the picture, if you don't understand or know one thing the picture is still connected to each other and all that is known can be connected, but that which is not known can't be connect until it is discovered. Solving one link in the web leads to another infinite links that need to be connected, and so on.

hmmm, i think that everything is connected. why? because one little thing can end up changing the course of something completely different and irrelevant. also, if everything was not connected then those things must have a different purpose, since the purpose is not to influence the other (cause in a connected world, everything has a purpose which always indirectly influences the other)
