1. The Baroque period is generally referred to as the age of irregularity where art, and theatre, bloomed and dominated the era. It was considered an age of contrast characterized between inreconcilable contrasts, which were very much different and more original than the Renaissance art, and time period.

2. The two Latin expressions that were favourites of the Baroque Period were 'carpe diem' which means 'seize the day', and 'momento mori' which means 'Remember that you must die.'
