Okay so i was lurking around on google and i found like a super sweet website that has a bunch of stuff on free trade like products (like a huge list of all these different products), producers, how to get invovled, retail products, you can even search through products to find a certain one you're looking for.
yeaaaaaah, did some more lurking, turns out you can order this products from online to be delivered right to your door ! How awesome right? And the contact information says they're based in London...
the website goes on to list how fair trade benefits their communities and their families, if you lurk around enough it's a really helpful website
http://www.planetfriendly.net/trade.html This website has a bunch of links to fair trade websites and it also has a pretty interesting poem at the bottom, check it out!
so, completely random, but most of the good sites were already mentioned that talk about fair trade.
but i know of 2 local stores where you can buy fair trade products, Rose's and Espresso Legato in downtown Bowmanville.
at rose's it has fair trade tea, chocolate and coffee, and quite possibly more stuff that i just don't know about, and at espresso, i know for sure that they sell fair trade coffee.
just throwin that out there!
Some fair trade products found in Canada are:
Coffee
Tea
Chocolate
sugar
Fruit (bananas and mangos)
Spices
Cotton Garments
Wine
Sports balls
On the site TransFair Canada it shows you a lot about Fair Trade. It even gives you an option to search for fair trade products/businesses in your area. It also shows you a list of certified operators around the world.. http://transfair.ca/en/producingcountries
