Failure is not success. Now, I can't tell you what success is because that's Stephen's question. Ok, ok...hummm...i think failure is not accomplishing what you set out to do. a failure to someone can be a sucess to someone else. i think it depends on the person and their morals and everything.

I think, and sarah sorta said it already, that Failure is defined by the person. If you have no goals, you shouldn't be able to fail. So if you have goals, Failure should be not completeling your goals the way you wanted to. failure can mean more though. If you are rich and have no love in your life, that could be considered a failure in a way, but if you are full of love, yet don't have any wealth at all, this would also be considered failure by some. Failure may be easier than success.

I believe that failure, more than anything else, is a state of mind. You are only defeated if you think that you are. Your attitude towards a certain situation determines whether or not you have failed yourself. Our experiences and life events determine our view about failure. Just because we could not get what we want does not mean it's failure altogether.

A failure is not only not accomplishing what you set out to do, but not learning anything from the experience. I feel that if you learn something and apply it to your life, then it is a success to some degree.

ok ok so does failure lead to success? and if so then technically there wouldnt be a failure uf the fail is a success right?

i think failure can lead to success because if you dont make mistakes most of the time you will never be able to learn and grow as a person. and yes, i guess technically their wouldn't be a failure. the failure would be however if you kept repeating the same mistakes over and over.

I think failure relates to your own personal goals and needs. If you do not achieve these, it could have a negative effect mentally and physically, and therefore not meet these needs. This would be failure.

I would love to be able to say that failure is just unhappiness, and it would fit nicely with Socrates idea that if you know right you will do right. There is sufficient evidence to back this up. Hitler was paranoid throughout WW2. It could have been his subconscous telling him he was wrong to a certain degree. Stalin was also said to have paranoid tendencies. I dont know whether I believe this entirely.

I believe that failure is when you do not reach satisifaction. If someone were to be happy with a 51 on their test, they may feel they reached success, while another will see that as an absolute failure. You have to put failure into your own context because success for one person, may seem like a failure to another, and vice versa. I also believe that a failure has the potential to be a success in a way because if you learn something from that failure, it could be a potential success in that you will try or know not to make that mistake again which caused you to fail in the first place. I believe success is in direct correlation with happiness, and if you can live a happy life by your standards, than you are infact, successful.
