Keith/Kristie: The issue addressed at the Canadian parks/Wilderness Society website is "The Big Wild" challenge. it is focused on keeping our undisturbed wilderness areas untouched. The paradigms are applicable because the environmentalists view understands that 1/2 of Canada's land and water supply needs to be left alone in order for our ecosystme to properly function, yet only 10% is protected. it urges all to have a voice and speak against the destruction and urbanization of Canada's wilderness.

For Friends of The Earth:

1. Their main issues were those of global Warming and Conservation of water.
2. The alternative environmental paradigm is present as the website uses many affirmative words and phrase to influence people to their cause, on many of their pages.

1.This website talks a lot about the environment and preserving it. One of the main articles on the front page is Whale conservation, it talks about what we need to do to save the whales.
2.The alternative environmental paradigm is definatly in place because it seems to be more focused on the environment and not making money. The dominany paradigm may be in there somewhere but it does not seem like it is a primary goal.

GreenPeace
1. KYOTO, climate change, tar sands, rainforest, nuclear threat.
2. Greenpeace focuses on the alternative paradigm. It is more concered about nature, rather than economic aspects of the world.

Zach and Dakota,
www.panna.org

1. At panna.org they are trying to promote the elimination of highly hazardous pesticides. They also will offer solutions that protect people and the enviroment. Basically at panna.org they are argueing that these pesticides are doing more harm to the enviroment then good.

2. the enviromental perspective is a big view in this website. They look at gaining a greater respect for nature by eliminating these harmful pesticides. They dont focus on how the pesticides benefit us but how they harm us.
